TANGLEWOOD
HOUSTON

For a newly empty-nester couple, the aim was to start anew and create a home that felt sophisticated and fresh.  Cosmetic upgrades including new marble fireplace surrounds, lighter wide plank flooring, and new kitchen counters lightened up much of the home, and furnishings were selected to create a look that was tailored and timeless.  A mix of family heirlooms and French antiques along with the clients’ contemporary art pieces keep rooms curated and interesting.  A soft blue Farrow & Ball paint on the master bedroom walls and a muted floral pattern creates a serene retreat and provides the perfect backdrop for a luxurious four poster bed and French settee.  Thoughtful finishes - an earthy grasscloth on the study’s walls, tonal paint and wallpaper and a custom chandelier in the dining room, brass stair rods on the gracious winding staircase - give a sense of depth and story to each room.
