For a client who loves fashion and color, we leaned heavily into rich color palettes and textiles with luxurious textures while keeping the mix of classic and contemporary pieces interesting.   The entry greets you with a gracious mix of old and new, with vintage hand-painted Italian chairs and a contemporary burl console, while olive green velvet, earth-tone fabrics and grasscloth make the living room a cozy place to relax. The dining room’s deep blue walls get a glamorous finish with a crystal chandelier, contemporary brass lamps atop an antique French regency console, a bold yellow moiré fabric on the Louis style chairs, and a metallic paper that mimics antique mirror paneling on the ceiling.  A busy professional, her home office is clean, bright, and chic with  a classic Directoire style desk in a modern cerused oak finish and an unexpected wash of soft pink and cream wrapping the room.  The breakfast nook is the perfect light-filled spot to gaze upon the home’s lovely garden and catch up with her young children.
